The University of Buenos Aires and Archisinal collaborate with Polkadot to renovate facilities
Archisinal, a Web3 data platform, and the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) have joined forces to revolutionize the UBA law facilities using Polkadot’s blockchain technology. The collaboration, in conjunction with UBA’s Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Lab (IALAB), aims to incorporate blockchain into urban design and architecture, resulting in a state-of-the-art learning environment. To renovate UBA’s legal facilities, students, architects, and members of the academic community are invited to participate in a contest to transform the faculty’s hearing room into a “smart classroom.” Archisinal will oversee the competition and utilize Polkadot’s blockchain technology to bring the project to life. The initiative, funded through blockchain-based collective financing, demonstrates the practical application of blockchain in public infrastructure projects. This partnership marks a significant milestone for Archisinal, as it allows the platform to test its vision within a university setting and showcase how blockchain can promote community engagement and support public infrastructure. UBA has already begun exploring blockchain’s potential through IALAB, and Archisinal will build on this foundation to develop new blockchain applications at the university. The collaboration is expected to inspire future university initiatives and drive innovative research and education. It will serve as a case study for blockchain implementation, enriching academic research and providing UBA law students with a technologically advanced space for their studies.
