Nuklai and Peaq Collaborate to Boost AI and Data Monetization

Nuklai, a pioneering smart data blockchain platform, has disclosed its integration with peaq, a Layer-1 blockchain specializing in Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) and Machine Readable Web Applications (RWAs), according to details shared with Finbold on May 16. The collaboration aims to enhance the artificial intelligence (AI) and data capabilities accessible to DePINs within the peaq ecosystem, arriving at a pivotal juncture. Last year, the global count of Internet of Things (IoT) devices reached 15.1 billion, with projections indicating an escalation to 19.08 billion by 2025, ushering in 73.1 zettabytes of data.

Bringing Nuklai’s data infrastructure to peaq entails integrating Nuklai’s advanced data infrastructure with peaq’s extensive network, encompassing over 400,000 devices, vehicles, machines, and robots. This amalgamation promises enhanced machine learning, data processing, utilization of high-quality datasets, and industry insights, along with equitable data monetization opportunities. Nuklai is dedicated to establishing the first on-chain smart data ecosystem, facilitating seamless data sharing, requesting, evaluation, and monetization. By transforming raw data into high-quality smart data, Nuklai significantly augments its utility for AI models. This initiative, endorsed by leading experts in AI, DePIN, and graphics processing unit (GPU) technology, endeavors to enhance production efficiency, refine predictive analytics, and nurture a resilient data economy.

The collaboration with peaq follows Nuklai’s previous partnership with Farmsent, a global Web3 marketplace tailored for farmers and consumer-facing businesses utilizing peaq IDs. Over 160,000 farmers have embraced this intermediary-free DePIN and marketplace ecosystem, striving to enhance data sharing and collaboration in the global food supply chain. Jochem Herber, Head of Ecosystem at Nuklai, expressed, “peaq hosts over 25 DePINs across various industries, each housing vast amounts of valuable data. Nuklai will equip these projects with the necessary tools to monetize or efficiently leverage their data, empowering them to optimize their resources. We are enthusiastic about advancing this integration, positioning Nuklai as the premier AI layer for DePIN, thanks to peaq’s leadership in this domain.”

The synergy between AI and the Economy of Things underscores the importance of secure and seamless data flow in the IoT sector, as highlighted by Matthijs de Vries, Founder and CEO of Nuklai. De Vries emphasized that integrating Nuklai’s smart data infrastructure with peaq’s DePIN ecosystem represents a promising stride, particularly in their collaboration with Farmsent. Till Wendler, co-founder of peaq, concurred, stating that the synergy between AI and the Economy of Things is undeniable. High-quality AI and data infrastructure layers like Nuklai bring substantial value to their ecosystem, furnishing builders with more potent tools. According to de Vries, this partnership yields mutual benefits, as the data amassed by IoT devices and machines is pivotal to Nuklai’s data user ecosystem, augmenting the overarching data economy.
