Tectris Program Set to Revolutionize Travel Industry with Web3 Innovations
Ennea Capital Partners, Falkensteiner Ventures, Trips Community, Chain4Travel, and other prominent figures in the travel sector have introduced Tectris, a program aimed at supporting startups developing blockchain, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to transform the travel industry. This information was disclosed to Finbold on June 10.
At the forefront of the movement towards a Web3-focused travel industry, Tectris will concentrate on innovations such as tokenization, decentralized ownership, and automated trust protocols.
Tectris is a virtual program with a registration deadline of July 31, 2024. The semi-finals will take place in picturesque Umbria, Italy, during the Web3 in Travel Conference on September 3-4, 2024, with the finals scheduled for Q4 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
Highlights of the Tectris program include the selection of ten promising Web3 travel startups from June to November 2024, providing them with a strong foundation for growth. The program will invest in open protocols crucial for the infrastructure of the Web3 travel industry, as well as in non-protocol, for-profit startups showcasing successful Web3 applications in the sector.
Luca De Giglio, co-founder of Tectris, shared his excitement for the project:
“With a diverse group of contributors, this accelerator and syndicate are well-positioned to assist startups by offering the necessary support for their success. Through our Discord channel, Tectris transforms into an open-space incubator dedicated to fostering innovations in Web3 travel.”
Participants can anticipate funding opportunities of up to €250,000, as well as coaching, industry knowledge, and collaboration opportunities with established players in the travel and hospitality sectors.
The program welcomes applications from teams and individual founders at the concept or pre-seed stage within the Web3 and blockchain spheres, with a particular focus on the travel, hospitality, and leisure industries.
This initiative marks a significant leap towards integrating Web3 technologies into the travel sector, promising to revolutionize the way travel experiences are crafted.
