NiceHash partners with MARA to release a specialized firmware for Bitcoin ASIC miners

NiceHash, a platform for cryptocurrency mining, has joined forces with Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA) to introduce a customized firmware for application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) miners that is specifically optimized for the NiceHash platform. This information was shared with Finbold on June 14.

The newly launched product, known as NiceHash Firmware, utilizes MARA’s technology and is now accessible to all Bitcoin (BTC) miners. It offers advanced features designed to enhance the efficiency of ASIC devices and increase revenue.

Created in partnership with MARA, NiceHash Firmware is compatible with NiceHash ASIC Manager, Foreman, and Awesome Miner. It is available for a nominal fee of 2%, which decreases to 1.4% for miners who use NiceHash as their primary pool.

Featuring innovative auto-tuning capabilities and customizable profiles, the firmware aims to bring cutting-edge technology in the cryptocurrency industry to the open market. It can be installed on ASICs with Air, Hydro, and Single Phase or Two Phase Immersion cooling systems. The auto-tune function can be adjusted based on Power Target, Hashrate Target, or Percentage Adjustment.

The firmware also includes intelligent thermal protection and a custom dashboard for detailed monitoring of ASIC performance. Marathon, the largest publicly traded Bitcoin miner, is renowned for its advanced firmware with an auto-tuning feature for optimizing ASIC machines.

The collaboration with NiceHash will expand the availability of this technology, now branded as NiceHash Firmware, to miners of all sizes. Vladimir Hozjan, CEO of NiceHash, praised the quality and reliability of MARA’s firmware solutions, emphasizing the joint effort to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving industry.

NiceHash Firmware supports Bitcoin miners in maximizing their profitability post-halving, offering additional incentives to use NiceHash for selling spare hashing power while benefiting from enhanced ASIC capabilities and performance.
